Staffing Changes

We had a few shifts in staffing this week, including:

bryantxhc was promoted to Moderator. He definitely earned the promotion, and now players will have another Moderator staring at the back of their head!

FatherBlessing, DivaMuffin, and Seionage7 join DarkTide’s Staff as new Guides! Best of luck (you’ll need it).

Supertt007 joined the DarkTide Technology Team as a Junior Developer! We look forward to his work that will benefit all players in the future.

Tournaments

Spleef Tournament

This last week hosted another planned spleef match. You can find the information for that match here and the winners here. Thanks for everyone who came out, we hope you had fun. And, of course, congratulations to all of the winners:

1st – kzthehero198 – 15 portals and the title of SleetFooted
2nd – spike116 – 10 portals
3rd – doheny123 and cactus141 – 5 portals each

An additional one-off free-for-all Spleef match was held just after the above tournament with the winner being pucefal who received 5 portals for his victory.

2v2 Tournament

Congratulations to 2v2 PvP tournament winners Bryantxhc and Freedom1171! The tournament was suspense-filled and exciting.

When contacted after his victory, Freedom1171 refused to be interviewed, however he did offer these words:

Freedom is the only way.

A New Contest!

DJ0320 is hosting a personal contest for players to make some music! If you are creative and talented (or just have plenty of time on your hands), bust out some grooves and send them in! Contest rules and information can be found in DJ’s post here.

Make Use of this Time to Send in Suggestions

We are compiling lists and lists of player suggestions, so now is the perfect time to get your thoughts into the pool. You can post in the Suggestions Forum, comment on one of the open threads (I’m not going to link to all of them, use the search feature), or PM Kaliven or Celeo if you wish your idea to be anonymous (from other players).

The DarkTide Museum

Out of the ruins of Obsidco sold to Kaliven by CaseyJoness, comes the DarkTide Museum! It won’t be legit, but will feature exhibits built by players that will capture all of DarkTide’s (in)famous history! Look for exhibits coming in soon. (Admission prices and special discount days pending.)
